A fashion question

This will probably amount to more of a poll than anything else, as I've yet
to find any hard/fast ruling on this in terms of what is actually correct.
But in EsQ&A style:

I'm shopping for an overcoat (more specifically, online), should I buy the
same size as my suit jacket, or one size larger to account for a jacket or
sweater underneath?
