hmm..after much reading of people's beliefs of society and what not..i
was thinking about a lot of things. no one can completely "be their own
person", but they don't have to try to rip off the ideas of others and
do it poorly. i understand it when people get pissed off w/ trendy girls
and boys go to shows. especially cause they think "they're hip high
school cats" and it's the in thing to do..going to a ska show.
    i mean..i like the mod scene..along w/ many others. i'm a music
"mut" as you will. i like music, because i like it, not just because
someone from mod, punk, rudie, skinhead group said it's ok to listen to.
i like a lot of brit-pop, a lot of indie, a lot of ska and mod music
(just to name a few), but i wouldn't say i belong to one group.
especially since the hardcores of each group pretty much doesn't like
anyone who listens and/or wears anything that they don't listen/wear.
i'm more of a punk, than an country western freak...but i'm more of a
mod, than a punk.
    i don't like haters, but i don't hate haters..cause that's a bit
contradictory, don't ya think? so all of these people that think they
are cool, because they are hardcore and know the rules are pretty lame.
let's be the authority of anit-authority groups and tell people what
they can or can't do.
so, i'll listen to blur.. while riding around on my friends vespa
and you can wear yer cowboy hat, dancing to the jam at a club in central
london. share the music..don't lock it up.
cheers,
derby
