Wow, Paul, this is a blast from the past. I ate breakfast every morning I was
in London at the Troubadour. Lovely place. Supposedly the spot for up and
coming drama folks. Can't imagine it being a R&B spot. But compared to the
rest of the Earl's Court clubs/bars, it's prime.

Anyone know the Troubador?
Great place!
Live jazz, folk and blues - as well as poetry recitals.... every week
Great coffee too - well the one I had was!!!

They are extending the basement - and may be putting on an R'n'B club night
(they'll also apply for a late license - they currently close at midnight)

You heard it here first folks!

On the subject of R'n'B clubs....... I am researching the idea of putting on
a night myself..... I would appreciate views/opinions/advice esp. from the
New Untouchables!

Would people go? Even mid-week?

Musicwise I'm thinking strong blues influence: but jump blues, R'n'B,
dancefloor jazz, soul jazz, bluesy soul, Jamaican R'n'B (ska boogie).....
maybe even some British R'n'B...

Cheers!

Paul
