Yep, and it looks like a couple of the earlier volumes were repressed 12-18
months ago, as they started turning up in the shops again. For Stateside
copies, try www.dustygroove.com . Bill mentioned the rest of the Blue series
(Blue'n'Groovy, So Blue, SoFunky, etc) - there's also the Blue Juice
compilations, which were compiled by Dean Rudland. They're much more in the
vein of the 4th 'Blue Breaks' comp - i.e. not so much Blue Note material or
even jazz, but more based on what was being played on the jazz dance scene
(and what back catalogue they had license too) - a bit more up to date and
more obscure than Blue Breaks Vol.4's 'Classic Breaks' though.

And moving on from there - if you dug Blue Juice / Blue Breaks 4, check out
the BGP 'Super Breaks' (Dino again, this time with access to the stuff Ace
rather than EMI has licences for - again loads of classic stuff - S.O.U.L's
'Burning Spear', 'EVA', etc), the 'All Back To Mine' comp (different
compiler, similar line-up of artists) and the Atlantic 'Right On' comp (Chas
Chandler and Stuart Kirkham rifle through the late 60s / early 70s Atlantic
vaults). All available on vinyl. None are especially 'mod', none are 100%
filler free, none the definition of anything, but all contain good tunes.
