Was that Details article better than most? Yeah, maybe slightly. If they
wanted to
nail down that 80's mod look that is...all those goofy buttons!
For a magazine trying to show up-to-date styles they certainly got that WAY
off...
I don't think they were trying to document a subculture or anything, I mean
no text or explanation of what the hell a mod IS (for the completely
unaware).
The really ironic thing is the guy is wearing $1,400 suits and $400
trousers
and they STILL look like ill-fitting thrift store clothes! Nothing wrong
with
thrift stores mind you, but if theoretically you were able to afford such a
garment
you would think it would fit correctly...and you wouldn't pair it with a
lumpy
parka-esque jacket with "MOD" patches .... (Realism right out the
window...)
Anybody else notice the Allstyles Scooters psuedo GS (as featured in
Quadrophenia!)?
Really a Rally with GS cowls and taillight...Why, for God's sake?
By the way, "mods love green onions", said so on the button...
