I cant complain too much about reaction in my office - I work with a good crowd, but I
do feel an underlying feeling that some of the middle-aged women think I'm a freak -
little things that the fact I take a coat-hanger to work to hang my jacket up instead
of flinging it over my chair fascinate them :-)

The two younger lads in my office are both great, one is into Weller in a fairly
decent way (all solo stuff, couple TSC and Jam albums) so he gets where I'm at, and
the other was a Goth in his mid-teens (he is 26 now) so he understands the whoole
subculture thing too.

But back to the more genral topic of apathy towards subcults, I kind of get the
feeling that most kids/teens are much more lazy now - even when I was at school, my
mates were always trying to find things for themselves, be it Nirvana, the
Wonderstuff, Rage Against The Machine, or me buying Punk and 60's Pop....we were all
different and have grown into different people, but this doesnt seem to be the case
nowadays. Shame really.

David.
