Since we're on the subject of bearded jazz fans, can anyone recommend which
Grant Green album I should pick up as an introduction. I've been loving his
work with Big John Patton for months now, and I'd like to see how he sounds
as the leader.
What about Boogaloo Joe Jones? I've never looked, but I'd guess that he's
been featured in the "Legends of Acid Jazz" series. Can anyone confirm
this, and better yet, offer an opinion on it? Lately, I've been interested
in exploring this "soul jazz" genre beyond the familiar organists, so any
other recommendations would be appreciated!
