At school I tend to be... well... a hermit. I do go out on occasion, but
usually its to the library. The funny thing is, when I meet people and tell
them where I'm at school, I always get the same reply "I hear you have a
happenin' music scene" to which I wince "no, not really". We have had our
share popular and/or decent bands. Most noteably the poster children
(catagorize them as you like...). There's a decent garage band, the
blackouts, and I've heard rumors of a powerpop band that covers 'the kids
are alright'. hm.
I'm not arrogant enough to assume that I am the only kid on campus aware of
the mod subculture (as a matter of fact, the other day a sorority girl wowed
me with a casual reference to mods in class...) but I just I don't really
have the time to go out looking..
I'm trying my damndest to graduate and move somewhere where I don't need to
actively seek out the few people with similar interests... though I still
don't know where this magical land is..
