Uh, yeah. "popscene was where it was at"? That is certainly a matter of opinion.
It was always 18 and up, so it was always "kiddie". You should check out
The Deluxe on Fridays, it sounds like you may be in for a pleasant
surprise. But be warned, they play that crazy sixties music.
