Tim Little comes through again, and my, what a handsome shoe. If you want
that desert boot feel, you'll have to settle for either black or brown
suede, unfortunately, as Tan/Taupe/"Sand" isn't offered. Yes, for the
record, I'm aware of the subtle differences between tan, taupe, and
sand--but I think all three could pass as a "classic" desert boot.
Speaking of desert boots, my pair seem to be broken. That is, I need new
soles (ain't no sole left in these old shoes), and I can't decide if it
would be worth having new ones put on, or if I should just go ahead and buy
a new pair. I'm guessing the former would be a less expensive alternative,
as the uppers are in fine condition, but I don't know if you can even do
that for crepe soles. Any advice from the list's shoe experts would be
greatly appreciated.
