To those who are interested in Jamaican reggae and ska, you may want to check out the latest issue of Giant Robot magazine. The latest issue(with Margaret Cho's big face on the cover), has several articles about 60s reggae and ska in it, focusing on the Asian influences on the genre. They include an intereview with Byron Lee, an article by Phil Chen(of the Vagabonds), and a brief column on Leslie Kong. I don't know how wide the circulation of Giant Robot is- they have sort of a narrow demographic-"hip" asian americans. If anyone can't find it in their area, I would be happy to photocopy the article and mail it to you.
