they are two strokes, as far as i know , piaggio has no plans for four
strokes yet, though rumors have flown about four stroke engines in manual
tranny classic bodys..
But, the catalytic converter is a true thing.. apparently they have
developed a decent 2 stroke cat...

*Are the new vespas that are coming to the states 2 of 4 stroke? As far
*as I know, the US will only allow 50cc 2 strokes. I caught word of them
*using a catalytic converter, but if used on a 2 stroke, I would think
*with all the oil in the exhaust the monolyth inside a catalytic
*converter would clog over time (I used to see that alot on volvos when
*the turbo wore out and started leaking oil- the cat would eventually
*plug solid to the point where the car wouldnt run at all) Anybody know?
*
*Ok, enough garage talk
