What a load of crap.  Weller may not have liked the sound of the word 
"revival", but with the way they were totally immersed in 60s mod culture 
and how heavily he borrowed from the 60s bands, there's no way the Jam could 
be anything other than a mod revival band.  Sure, the Jam melded the 60s 
stuff with what was going on at the time, but what made the Jam different 
was that they did identify with the 60s mods.  And they were by far the best 
band around at the time.
