Well I got hold of the lovely Chess Ryhthm and Soul comp. which has
Marlena Shaw's Wade In The Water (along with Etta's Mellow Fellow and
others.....)
Is this really the best vocal version??!
Who wrote the tune anyway? (is it traditional or something?)
Much prefer Ramsey Lewis' instrumental...
(any other recommended vocal versions?)
Shame I missed the 'trap - what a lucid description Mr Bolton!
And to think Alexis et al. weren't there either!!! I really SHOULD have
made more effort to attend..........
