About the sharkskins suits ... personally, I like sharkskin, tho
I've found there aree degrees of quality. The best seem to be Hong
Kong/Asian tailored but there were plenty of American department
store knock offs some of which are okay.
For reasonably priced vintage sharkskin suits, try looking in
your local Goodwill. The prices range from $5.00 to $8.00 for a
blazer and $15.00 to $20.00 for a complete suit. I've noticed more
sharkskin available in Goodwill this last year ... I think the American
servicemen who were stationed in Asia in the 60s are ditching the
sharkskins suits they had made. Forget Salvation Army ... they just sell crap.
For Rachael ... try looking in vintage clothings stores for sharkskin
cocktail dresses ...you might turn up a skirt there, too.
