Levi's 'Sta-Prest' brand originally lasted long enough to put out about every variety of trouser imaginable, the only common thread being the crease. Of the Levi's I own with the inner tag noting "Sta-Prest", I've got tapered tight cotton side pockets ones, faded all denim flares, plaid %50 cotton, 50% poly, 100% poly boot cut, a few solid color standard 5-pocket cotton-poly blend, cotton-poly corduroys (with matching jacket!), and maybe some others I haven't worn in a while. That's, of course, not counting the few pairs of repros I bought, which I like alright, but are nothing like any originals I own. My point is, there's a thousand different styles of 'original' Levi's. All of which were copied, at one point or another by another company (names like Towncraft (Pennys), Snug-Duds, Wrangler made some, Action Slacks, and so on). So they're not really 'supposed to be' any particular style or fabric, they just made what young American's thought was in style, for over a decade under the 'sta-prest' name. >>>Levi's had them forever... they're just supposed to be "always >>>creased"type of pants... they're overpriced... dickies are about the same >>>and cost But Dickies aren't really anything like Sta-Prest. Decent work pants (I mean work that would ruin pants you like) if you choose, but unless youre a skater, gangsta, or need the extra room in the ass, I wouldn't bother. Besides, they got those goofy extra big pockets on the seammakes'em look pleated. Oh, and if your worried about the crease, if they're original, just gettem' dry cleaned. There's only so many pairs left in the world, so take care of the ones you got. Levi's sure doesn't own any of it's old looms, so they ain't making any more.
