I'm brazilian, I grew up listening to mutantes, rita lee (mutantes former
singer).. they had the most psychedelic sound in brasil.. and were part of
tropicalia... an artistic movement, also musical, which was all about bein
brazilian and tropical! as you can see, mutantes is very psychedelic and at
the same time very brazil oriented. Mutantes lead singer Arnaldo Batista
played with Sean lennon 1 month ago on rio de janeiro.. Now arnaldo is with
his brains fryed caus eof too much drugs.. i have an arnaldo batista solo
albun, very bossa nova.. really nice! he recorded it when he scaped form a
mental institution.. he jumped from the 3rd floor.. broke several bones .
and recorded the albun!
