I am a big fan of Brazilian Music. I picked up all three of Os Mutanes
releases on Omplatten when they were reissued last year. Great stuff. Also
Bebel Gilberto famed daughter of two of Brasil's most famous bossa nova
artists, Astrud and Juao Gilberto, has released a CD that is very good.
While drawing from and even sampling classic bossa nova it has quite a
current sound.

If anyone digs Los Mockers from Uruguay they should also check out Los
Shakers' new compilation release on Big Beat. More Uruguayan Beat & R&B
jewels.

Speaking of South American bands of the 60s, anybody else dig Os
Mutantes?
That first LP blows my mind (baby) with all these disparate influences
mixed together...
