I couldn't agree more with you Bek on that one, I saw the trailer and
couldn't believe what I was seeing, almost as bad as the "Mod Squad"
bomb. I'm glad someone agrees about the Embrooks and the Conquerors,
since no one else will give them their due here. Looking back over the
past few weeks here I don't think I saw a post about the Embrooks recent
stint in the US, did anyone go and see them? Probably not, waiting for
the "mod"ern bands to come to town. I just wish they would have come
out to the West Coast.

You took the words right out of my mouth Bek, it looks like the same old
bullshit from before, nothing's changed. By the way, while I was in
London I saw some bands that should be commended including the Aardvarks
who are absolutely amazing, the Jaybirds who were mindblowing full of
freakbeat power and a singer who sounds like Ali McKenzie from the Birds
(ever here of them?), and a young band called the Impact who were really
good. Although their set was all covers, they could pull them off
perfectly, especially their rendition of "Garage Man" by the Gods! East
Coast folks ought to support the Insomniacs, who are amazing too!
Arguements about Oi? What's this list become, certainly doesn't cater
to mods anymore.
