Hi all!
It's just a quickie to ask if anyone knows of any good Vintage 60's clothing
shops in London. I live in the Midlands myself and find it really difficult
to find any decent shop's that cater for mod's! I usually end up buying from
charity shops. I'm off down to London this month and I could do with being
pointed in the right direction!
Directions would be helpful!
Thanks

Apologies Stephen,
My outburst was a bit unwarranted in hindsight.
I do stick with the original point though - good to see someone doing
something to develop a scene in their area, as opposed to moaning about a
lack of one. And if anyone does start a group/website in a similar vein,
drop me a line, I'd be more than happy to link/promote via the modculture
site.
Cheers,
David.

The whole point of having a "Modslist" is to discuss Mod issues and everyone
has a right to critisize others who put out non-mod
related plugs for roller disco clubs. I have many diverse interests and
that is why I belong to several other Lists that are geared
towards certain genres. If you don't like opinionated self starters then
what are you doing on this list ?
What's wrong with conservative restrictions in terms of Mod ? - it wouldn't
be what it is and have the reputation it does without rules !
The whole point of Mod is a condensed view of style, music and lifestyle
etc. - surely without the boundaries that you so despise
Mod wouldn't exist !

Well, I'm not moaning for one. By the way, I don't think i'm alone on this
list when I say i'm not sure how good I feel about self appointed online mod
authorities. Defining conservative restrictions of what mod today 'should
be' seems pretty ridiculous. Just my opinion.

Oh, fuck off.
I made a comment that it was nice to see someone actively doing something
for their area (as opposed to using this list as a blatant plug for some
local, and usually 'non mod related' event or moaning that there's 'no mods
in my area' etc etc) and you come along and have a 'pop'. I'm sure you'll
have had a 'dig' whatever I'd posted. But feel free, it doesn't upset me,
better people than you have been on this list and made far more cutting
remarks.

commenting
on the community aspect of the list, which seems reasonable to me."
Indeed, think before you have a go. Unless of course you want to have a go
regardless. Which is what you were doing really wasn't it Stephen?
