I've met too many present day 'mods' who take themselves way too seriously.
I think it's the nature of alot of people today in their 20's/early 30's who
make anal retentive attempts at walking, talking, looking, acting like it's
three and a half decades ago. I wasn't taking a 'pop' at someone for
actively doing something mod related in their area, I think that's great. I
was taking a 'pop' at the few who always seem to post judgement calls on
everybody else's posts like, "but is it mod?" "well, is it mod?" Well who
fucking cares, is it ok to post anything on here thats not 'true blue' mod
all of the time? David Walker, you have a very nice website dedicated to
mod, and your obviously quite passionate about your vision of the sub
culture. Well that's just fine and good. So let's just leave it at that.

I've heard now, a few times, rumors that Eric Clapton is doing a
small-production album with whatever is left of The Impressions. Anybody
else know about this?

You folks really should check out David's website. It would give many of you
some groundwork , before you try to re-invent what you don't even understand
to begin with. I'm not telling anybody what to like, or listen to, but give up the
force-fit (of whatever your taste may be) into the mod thing.
Now roller-skating to funky worldbeat,
Dan
