I have a cert for issbase.com from Thawte. Until IE 5.0
came out I was using this cert for

        - foo.issbase.com
        - bar.issbase.com

Now users with MSIE5 beta get the "this cert does not match
the name error."

Thawte's wildcard certs would seem like a fine fix for this
(cert for *.issbase.com) but MS' policy is that wildcard
certs are evil, so officially they will not be accepted.
Can someone who is using a wildcard cert confirm that names
other than the root domainname and www.domainname work with
IE 5.0 and a wildcard from Thawte?

IE 5.0 is due out in two weeks, so this is a big concern.
