Why didn't you looked at the apache_1.3.4/conf/httpd.conf-dist file mod_ssl
patched for you?  Alternatively look inside the
mod_ssl-2.2.4-1.3.4/pkg.sslcfg/sslcfg.patch file for details what is usually
patched into this. In short: You need a corresponding Listen directive for
port 443!

It will be remembered over _RESTARTS_, but not over normal _STARTS_ after
a server shutdown, of course. The manual talks about restart rounds.
