Fine, just be patient a few days, please. The ETHZ (one of my sponsors)
already established a larger machine for me. After I switched the webserver to
this hardware I'll create this CVS repository service for you, too.  I'll post
details when it's ready.

Hmmmm.. yes, sounds really like a local Firewall problem.  But then RSync is
nevertheless easier to setup than CVSup for you, too.  Perhaps ask the RSync
authors for hints? OTOH can you speak SSH through your Firewall? Then we can
for instance tunnel RSync this way.
