Doh! read the instructions! Yes, the reason it worked at home but
not at work was because it home it got to write the .conf files, whereas
as work it didn't because ones existed which were from a previous Apache
mod-ssl and I'd messed around with somehow. So I edited that one wrongly.
I used 'make certificate TYPE=custom' and it worked fine once I fixed the
httpd.conf to point to where the .crt and .key were.
Thanks. (It's safe to say it successfully compiles and installs
under Solaris 2.6 using gcc 2.8.1 I guess!)
