Yes, but 'the winner takes it all' and Ben was the first one to claim
for the orphaned OpenSSL project formerly known as SSLeay.

He is more than enough qualified to take over the maintenance of this
project
and for me (whithout further explicit directives coming directly from
the original SSLeay maintainer) OpenSSL belongs to Ben Laurie!
