I've been in the process of upgrading from Apache 1.3.1 w/ PHP 3.0.3 and
mod_ssl-2.0.9-1.3.1
to Apache 1.3.3 w/ PHP 3.0.6 and mod_ssl-2.1.6-1.3.3. I encountered
the following problem upon startup after compile, the httpd process
immediately dies complaining of "[Wed Jan 6 09:14:20 1999] [error] mod_ssl:
Cannot open SSL logfile /usr/local/apache/var/logs/ssl_engine_log (System error
follows)
[Wed Jan 6 09:14:20 1999] [error] System: No such file or directory (errno: 2)"
The file does exist and the process has access to it. A system trace
shows that httpd opens '/usr/local/apache/var/logs/ssl_engine_log'
over and over until it the 256'th time where it exits. Why is it doing this?
