Full_Name: TAG Version: 2.2.8 OS: RH 5.1 Submission from: 24.65.16.107.bc.wave.home.com (24.65.16.107) Good Afternoon, I have successfully installed APACHE 1.3.6 with openssl 0.9.2b and Mod_ssl 2.2.8. After going through the installation and compilation of all of the above I had no problems and created a test certificate. When I start the server using "apachectl startssl" it starts without a problem and the error logs note nothing unusual. When I do an "http://" to the site I have no problems, however when attempting an "https://" to the site, I get a netscape error saying "server is down or unavailable". I am testing this setup from a machine connected with @Home so I don't have a FQDM and as such when asked for one in the "make certificate" I entered the IP address. Everything seems to work, but SSL!! Any ideas? Thanks.
