thanks for having taken time to answer to my problem.
i've managed to solve the problem by downgrading my grep
version to the one that came with the original installation
which has size 64161 (i couldn't find it's version number),
and by upgrading to gcc-2.8.1. since configure use intensivly
grep bash awk and sed, i compared versions of thoses
programs with somplace where it was working. i've genrated
keys from the installation process, started the deamon and
it works fine now, and i'm very happy :)
