Well, it is part of _some_ patch, applied at _some_ time, but it doesn't
always work. My solution to the problem was to start with a fresh Apache
1.3.6 src directory. I had applied at least 2 or 3 older (< 2.3.3)
versions of mod_ssl to my old Apache src directory. Apparently one of them
applied the above patch(es) in a way that breaks later revisions of mod_ssl.
If you have this problem, the simplest thing to do is probably to just
start with a fresh copy of apache src. If you have lots of modules
applied, then this may not be as easy. Alternatively, Ralf could try to
detect the incorrectly-applied patches and fix up the Apache src tree
automatically.
