Dear sirs,

It' like whipping a dead horse - http works fine, https not.
The process sometimes dies, and I have to reinstall from the beginning.

For several days I've been browsing through
documentation and this mailing list to find a cure.
Several persons seems to have experienced the same.
But when I check the suggestions, I'm already on
the right track ...

I'm just a seasoned newbie, and getting quite desperate.
I managed to install mvend, and adapt it to my needs.
That's why I want ssl.

I use slakware 4 on an Intel box.
Been trying with the latest :
apache 1.3.6
openssl 0.9.3a
mod ssl 2.3.5-1.3.6

What should I do ?
I asked a sysadmin at an ISP, and he said
it should not be a problem for him - but I do not
trust that opinion.

Regards,

Michael Ed
