Well, I think it's really far from that ! We had a site here in France
which had more than 40.000 hits/min (which maybe doesn't mean 40.000
conn/sec beacuse of HTTP/1.1 and persitant connections) ... anyway,
the site was dispatched on 10 machines, each host getting 4000 hits/mn
(database overhead, highly dynamic site) ... the ads server got more
than 8000 hits/min !
