Hi,
I finally got my Apache+mod_ssl server up. I find the mod_ssl
documentation to be excellent; I would have saved quite a bit
of time if I had read it before trying to compile Openssl+rsaref!
Very cool stuff.
The last problem that I ran into was "Connection refused" from
port 443. I looked at various places and finally found the answer
on the mailing list archive. i.e., should do
<apache+ssl_path>/bin/apachectl startssl
instead of:
<apache+ssl_path>/bin/apachectl start
since SSL needs to be defined.
I think it will be very helpful to the newbies if this was
documented somewhere, perhaps the FAQ.
