Hi,

I use the Apache 1.3.6 with mod_ssl 2.3.5 and OpenSSL/0.9.3a

The following configuration does not work:

 -------------------------------------------------------------

RewriteRule ^/somepath(.*)$ http://somehost.domain.com:88/somepath$1 [P]

SSLVerifyClient require

SSLVerifyDepth  1

<Location />
   AuthType Basic
   AuthGroupFile /otherpath/group
   AuthUserFile /otherpath/passwd
   require valid-user
</Location>

 -------------------------------------------------------------

If I try to get the HTML-Page: https://myhost/somepath/index.html
I get the Error Message >>>407 Proxy Authentication Required<<<.
All other URL's on my own server are accessable.

Without the >>AuthType Basic<< all work fine.
What is the reason?? Can anybody help me.

Thanks in advance
   Martin
