I didn't have any problem.
My setup is similar to yours, so I have attached my build
scripts.
The configuration is designed to build an apache to replace
the redhat one.
I have built openssl-0.9.4 once only. It worked fine, so I
don't rebuild it.
All other apache stuff I delete and rebuild from scratch
everytime. Otherwise apxs is likely to be faulty-- no ld entry for eg

These scripts reside in /usr/src and pick up
source files from /home/ftp/pub/linux/apache

Subject: How to compile MM with modssl
(2)
As I still haven't had a reply to my previous email, I'm
trying again.
I have compiled apache + modssl +
openssl + php4 + auth_mysql + dav + perl, using the following
script:
snip
I would like to
compile in MM. Can somebody tell me what to change to the script above to get
MM working.
I have tried
several combinations but haven't been successful yet. The readme in the modssl
package shows an example of how to compile MM but the examples don't show a
combination of modssl + mm + mod_perl. The last one (mod_perl) is the real
bummer.

J.
