Ralf,
This is a problem that I have faced with Linux for the last 2 years
or so and still have not found a solution .. of course I havent had
much time to spend on it either with university, marriage, etc.
But on and off I must have spent at least about 2-3 weeks over the
last 1.5 - 2 years to figure it out and with no luck.

p.s. dont mean to get hopes down. just putting out my experience
semctl(). Maybe I will give it another whirl later this
weekend and see if i can find anything new.
