This then has to be a Linux related problem, because I often stress-test
mod_ssl with lots of continued restarts on my FreeBSD development machine and
it always survived them correctly. So, can you find out more? For instance,
what type of session cache are you using?; are any errors logged in the
logfile, etc.?
