Hello, when I run apache 1.3.9 on production servers, it totally eats up
all the memory - it instantly consumes 26MB. It's not all mod-ssl's
fault - very little of it is as far as i can tell, but the problem is i
need lots of modules, php3.012,jserv,perl,fastcgi, almost all the ones
in src/modules/standard, frontpage, and many more for our clients. I
don't know where to go with this question. I've tryed compiling
everything as a DSO and statically with the same result. Apache 1.2.4
on the same servers only eats 3.5 MB, but i can't stick with this
archaic server forever. Any suggestions or a pointer to the right place
to ask the question?

    thanks a lot,
    Dashiell
