According to dozens articles I read in the recent days, the next trend in IPOs is Apache. The current trend, as all of you know, is Linux, and the total market cap. of Linux companies, jumped in a few months by about 1000% (!) to about $50 billion (RedHat alone is $20B). And what drives this new trend? After all, Apache is even not GPL'ed, but totally free, and technical support is given by many companies, such as Red Hat, LinuxCare, as well as voluntary mailing lists and news groups... You guessed true! SSL support, of course... According to http://news.cnet.com/news/0-1003-200-1498105.html?tag=st.ne.1002.tgif?st.ne.fd.gif.e as well as other sources: Covalent has more to offer than just technical support and consulting services, however. The company also sells an add-on to Apache that enables use of "the secure sockets layer" encryption technology, essential to private transactions such as credit card payments. P.S. If I sound sarcastic, I apologize; It was not my purpose... -- Eli Marmor [EMAIL PROTECTED] El-Mar Software Ltd. ______________________________________________________________________ Apache Interface to OpenSSL (mod_ssl) www.modssl.org User Support Mailing List [EMAIL PROTECTED] Automated List Manager [EMAIL PROTECTED]
