I am using apache_1.3.9 with mod_ssl 2.4.9 (openssl 0.9.4).
All this worked perfectly well for 3 weeks, and last week I had this problem :
Suddenly the server stopped from processing https requests. The http requests
were still answered, but when you tried https you got "Contacting, waiting for
reply", and waiting for ever !
To solve it, I had to stop apache and restart it (well, maybe a restart would
have worked...).
And everything restarted normally then. The load was not even very high.
The problem reproduced yesterday and once again I could not find the source.
In the logs (access_log and error_log) there is nothing particular. The
requests simply stop with no apparent reason (in fact this is the server which
stops from answering them).
My best guess is mod_ssl for now... Someone has an idea ?
