This is a little off topic, but it seems to be the best forum available to me to satisfy my needs. Please reply privately, so as not to clutter the list with unnecessary and irrelevant e-mails. Anyways, my question, and/or request is as follows. Wondering how the stats below coincide with others experiences as far as server loads, and examples of other similiar servers, so I can judge how optimized my server is, and how much more performance I can expect from a single server. Interested in saturation point of my connection, particularly saturation point of a 10mbit ethernet connection, and also what people have experienced to be the max or guideline for # of requests or traffic per cpu/box for the best performance. These stats were garnered from apache server-status. The server is a Celeron 500 with 128mb of RAM, running RH 6.1 2.2.12-20. At this time, only a very small minority (less than 1%) of this traffic is https.
