I, too, get the same error when doing a make certificate under Solaris 7 with all the newest versions. I have a $HOME/.rnd which was created by cping a bunch of stuff to it. It gets encrypted but I still get the same >STEP 7: Enrypting RSA private key of CA with a pass phrase for security [ca.key] >The contents of the ca.key file (the generated private key) has to be >kept secret. So we strongly recommend you to encrypt the server.key file >with a Triple-DES cipher and a Pass Phrase. >Encrypt the private key now? [Y/n]: y >read RSA key >writing RSA key >Enter PEM pass phrase: >Verifying password - Enter PEM pass phrase: >unable to write key >14638:error:24064064:random number generator:SSLEAY_RAND_BYTES:prng not >>seeded:md_rand.c:470: >mkcert.sh:Error: Failed to encrypt RSA private key >make[1]: *** [certificate] Error 1 error that a log of us seem to be getting. This is getting very frustrating. Are there any solutions? -- ____________________________________________________________________________ Beth Rusnak (919) 684-5540 Center for Human Genetics [EMAIL PROTECTED] Duke University Medical Center P.O.
