Hello,

Note, I am an Apache mod-ssl novice. I inherited a working site.
I am trying to upgrade from Apache 1.3.9 to 1.3.11. New mod-ssl is
2.5.1-1.3.11. Openssl is 0.9.4.
Old was Solaris Intel 2.6 new is Solaris Intel 2.7.

The old site seemed to work fine.

Using the same httpd.conf in the new server, which inherited IP address and
System name from old.
.
Everything seems to work fine except I get secure channel errors on some
versions of IE4.
IE5 just says it cannot open the site.

I think my IE5 problems are also version specific. Upgrading from
5.00.2314 to 5.00.2919 fixed one client.
The message in the log, in every case (IE4 and IE5), is
[11/Apr/2000 15:46:07 15449] [info] Spurious SSL handshake interrupt[Hint:
Usua
lly just one of those OpenSSL confusions!?]

This line is in httpd.conf
SetEnvIf User-Agent ".*MSIE.*" nokeepalive ssl-unclean-shutdown.

Is there something I missed in the archive for newer Apache/mod-ssl?
Should I use a different Apache/mod-ssl release?

Thanks

Have a great day!
