You must make a new install of apache to add mod_ssl - see the
INSTALL file in the mod_ssl distribution - then your httpd.conf
will be "automagically" changed for mod_ssl.
To make sure that mod_ssl has been compiled into your apache,
do: /path/to/apache/bin/httpd -l
It should list mod_ssl.c or mod_ssl isn't installed.
