Just follow the INSTALL doc in the distribution - look to
"The All-In-One mod_ssl+APACI way [FOR JOE AVERAGE]". Add the optional
--enable-shared=ssl and --enable-shared=max . Then build php4 with the
option --with-apxs=/path/to/apache/bin/apxs
