Sounds like your server key is encrypted (ie, Apache is waiting for
you to enter a passphrase upon startup) and your init.d script doesn't
understand how to provide such a passphrase. You could decrypt
your server key (remove the passphrase) or hack the init.d script to have it
provide the passphrase to Apache, among other alternatives. See http://www.modssl.org/docs/2.6/ssl_faq.html#ToC31 for
