Does anyone have a fix for the following:
I have installed a Verisign Global ID Server Certificate under mod_ssl, and when I try
to access the site using a 56bit MSIE 5 I get a "Page cannot be displayed" error.
However, If I access the site using MSIE5 - 40 bit it works fine or using a patched
128bit - MSIE5 it also connects. All versions og Netscape >4.05 connect without
error.
I saw a recent thread on a similar type of subject where the solution suggested was to
add the following to the httpd.conf:
SetEnvIf User-Agent ".*MSIE.*" nokeepalive ssl-unclean-shutdown downgrade-1.0
force-response-1.0
This when added to the Virtual Host in question it does not fix the problem. Has
anyone got any ideas on a server work around ?
