Hi all,

I have a question regarding the HIGH and MEDIUM cipher suites in the option
SSLCipherSuite. The reference (chapter 3) says that HIGH is short for 'all
ciphers using Triple-DES', while MEDIUM is short for 'all ciphers with 128
bit encryption'. It seems to me that this gives the appreciation to the
ciphers that Triple-DES is more secure than e.g. IDEA. However, as far as I
know, Triple-DES is actually weaker than IDEA due to the meet-in-the-middle
attack, and in effect has only a 112 bit security.

Or did I miss some information?

Best regards,

Filip
