Hello,
we are running apache/1.3.6 (unix) (SuSE/Linux) with mod_ssl/2.3.5
OpenSSL/0.9.3.
The apache server is configured for several virtual
hosts.
One host is a ssl-host. This ssl-host is reachable from
external users via the internet, secured by a firewall.
All other virtual hosts are accessible only internally.
When a lot of traffic comes to the ssl-host then the
connection becomes very slow. Sometimes I get a timeout.
The ssl_engine_log displays a lot of "SSL handshake interrupted
by system" entries.
When I try to connect to the non-SSL host internally. Then there
is no significat delay. So in my opinion it can not be the load
of the apache server or the host itself.
How can I track the reason of this problem?
Any help is welcome.
