Your problem is IMHO that you use the wrong versions.
Your mod_ssl-2.4.10-1.3.9 is to old for open_ssl-0.9.5a
At http:// www.opensa.org you'll find complete Packages, source and
binaries that fit together....it's almost like Christmas.
